Management in the České Švýcarsko/Bohemian Switzerland National Park
Národní park (NP) České Švýcarsko je územím s vysokou lesnatostí (96 %) a minimem sídelních útvarů. Většina lesních porostů na území NP byla v minulosti založena jako lesy hospodářské za účelem zisku dřevní hmoty. Způsob a intenzita současného lesnického managementu je reakcí na aktuální stav lesa, který je do značné míry výsledkem zalesnění rozsáhlých kalamitních ploch vzniklých v 1. polovině 20. století a následného hospodaření.

The Blanský les Protected Landscape Area (PLA) was declared on the territory of 212 km2on December 8, 1989. Its main aim is to protect well-preserved mixed forests, to manage sites rich in flora and fauna and to maintain the typical landscape scenery/character.
