The article aims at management of geographic data on memorial/veteran trees and it provides the basic information on review of and updating the above data.
In 2008, before the review started, based on a detailed analysis, the data had been transformed into new format allowing effectively manage and update them. The new data scheme allowing using them sophistically in various applications, have also been applied for other specific data managed by the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic. At the same time, two by that time separately managed datasets, namely a tree database within the Digital Register of the Nature Conservancy Central Register and the Memorial/Veteran Tree Technical Database, were merged. Due to the newly developed Memorial/Veteran Tree Module, a part of the review process can be carried out just in this application. Using mps and tables, the author shows improving in the data quality resulted from the review.
