Tourism Sustainability and Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection in the Czech Republic

The article deals with some strategic aspects of the relationship between tourism and nature conservation and landscape protection in the Czech Republic.
Special attention is paid to the interface between the two sectors. The authors present tools and procedures of systematic and constructive approach to currently rather conflicting co-existence of both the activities in the ecologically valuable areas. They apply proved international concepts, methods and instruments in tourism sustainability and the methodical framework developed by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic for the topic focusing on tourism sustainability in the ecologically valuable areas. The emphasis is given to the willingness of individual stakeholders to mutual co-operation as well as to the professional approach when solving the above problems.
