Camping in Nature

Quiet, non-consumptive camping in connection with hiking is the most environmentally friendly type of tourism.

It plays a crucial role in environmental communication, education and public awareness, particularly when forming the approach to nature among children and youth. In the Czech Republic, camping in forests and in Specially Protected Areas is prohibited. Nevertheless, the legislation presumes that the suitable sites are assigned for camping and making fire. With a few exceptions, the possibility has not been used in the practice yet. Therefore, special attention should be paid by the appropriate State/Public Administration bodies to assignation of camping sites, particularly in collaboration with NGOs.
