The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, formerly known as the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, is the oldest proclaimed natural park in Africa. It consists of 960 km2of hilly topography located 280 km north of Durban in central Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

In the Czech Republic, the first attempts to systematically carry out the care for injured wild animals dated back to the1970s.
In comparison with the 1970s and 1980s, numbers have been increased in some birds of prey, while populations of other species have been relatively stable in the Czech Republic. Some avian predators, e.g. the Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus), known also as the Northern Harrier in North America have been declining there.
